General Theme: We are proud of the history of “doers” and “makers” in the Peterborough Area. In particular, we want the focus of the 2017 Peterborough Engineering Symposium to be on local innovations (i.e., a new idea(s), a new method(s) or a new device(s)).
For some, the innovation(s) are recent and have resulted in rapid growth now and in other cases there has been a long history of innovation(s) with a long and steady growth.
In this the 150th year of Canada, we want to learn more about our local innovators and / or innovative companies so that we can celebrate and acknowledge their individual and unique pathway to success (overcoming specific obstacle(s) with innovation or simply seeing/re-imagining something familiar).
